We are so happy with all that we have been accomplishing and we truly are getting a lot done. There is still much to do as this has been needing updating for almost two years now and it's amazing just how big a site can get when you are trying to meet the needs of a variety of people! But I am truly excited at what has been accomplished.
One of the areas that we have been able to get up and running is of course our Banner Pages as well as updating and deleting dead links on our Links Page. Both these pages are great resources for anyone looking for great Christian and Spiritual articles, poetry, humor, patriotism and just about anything you COULD look for!
Also, we have completed, at least to this point in time, our Prayer Warriors Pages both page one and two and they are looking nice and working great as well! This gives our guests a direct line to the other sites that deal with Intercessory Prayer and the taking and praying of submitted prayer needs! Please, if you haven't done it yet, check them out! Even if it's for future reference it's a good thing to have bookmarked.
A new addition that we have just added is a section to an email group that Oasis Bible Ministry and Oasis Prayer Ministry is involved in and that is Sister Caroline Bailey's, "Caroline's Prayerbook 4" an email group that prays over submitted prayer requests and needs, shares devotionals with one another as well as messages meant to uplift, teach and encourage. The page I created for our group is basically an avenue in which I can share with them the messages that I do for them. This month I hope to be adding to that section an archive of past messages so that they will always be available to those who desire to go back and study or just read them. Of course the messages I do will be available to everyone who comes through our site, but there is an email link to get in touch with Sister Caroline if you are interested in being a part of our close knit group.
Of course you may have also noticed that we have updated our home page to include some awesome resources from ChristiansUnite.com, a leader in spiritual resources including banner exchange, Bible tools, Christian or religious related news and a whole lot more. The links and buttons are their for your enjoyment and needs. You will also see that we have added a second page to our "Home" page to also list some of the causes and resources that we also have a heart for, groups or individuals that might also help others with needs they have. You will find them of course on page two and we believe that section will definitely grow. Something also we want to look into further and get involved in, are some of the "top-site" listing groups that help get our site out there in the "vast world-wide-web" so that we might be able to help many others with needs. With the ever-growing sites that spring up, we need all the help we can get to let others know we are here for them.
One other thing that I am extremely excited about and especially since this is the month of recognizing America's independence is a poem in our Patriotic Pride section entitled, "Thanks, Wish You Were Here" that I was told about by my dear friend Sister Lora Cox of Belle's Place. It's was written by a Corporal and his battalion from Kuwait and it really causes us to keep in mind exactly the sacrifice these young men and women are giving for the freedom we hold so dear! Along with that poem we have included the lyrics to our National Anthem, The Star-Spangled Banner Francis Scott Key, and I know that if you haven't sang the song in a while or haven't read the other verses that go to it, you will be extremely pleased with what we have to offer you! Please stop by our Patriotic Pride and check it and the other offerings out as well!
We have several other things we have to get updated this month so please keep us in prayer as it is time-consuming not just in preparing and presenting the web pages, but in preparing the articles as well. We hope in the next week or so to update our Merry Heart humor section, our From Friends section, the Food For Thought area and also the Pastor's Desk message. Again, we covet your prayers for this and as we get things completed, of course we will let you know right here in this section!
One final thing and I know personally how I dislike my email inbox being flooded with useless things, but if you would like to know when we have updated our major pages with new messages and articles, please send us an email and all you have to do is put "Updates" in the subject line and we will put you on our list for updates. I promise that we won't send you anymore emails than approximately one update every two to three weeks. Do let us know though if you are interested, we might even start a small newsletter to send out once or twice a month with the subject of updates as the primary reason for it.

You don't have to purchase anything or sign up for anything, but just checking them out in a lot of cases, allows their sponsors to contribute to these causes. This is just one of the little ways WE can demonstrate OUR love by actual doing. Also, my hope and prayer would be that it might inspire or motivate YOU to do something that you love and care about.
