pray without ceasing;
in everything give thanks;
for this is God's will for you
in Christ Jesus."

During the time of recovery, I did several other things for the school, but toward the end of the school year, I knew my ability to work with a knee that had not healed totally would severly limit my usefulness for the school. My wife and I both ended our school careers at the end of the season and after a short time my wife got a job with the State of Arizona with wonderful benefits and such. When it was all said and done though, about five years had past before I could have the knee taken care of and in that time I had also developed some severe back problems and some other health issues that warranted me applying for disability.

Now during this time I had learned an awful lot about the computer as well as HTML coding and building websites and my online ministry site had grown a lot. The Lord had really taught me a lot and I had come to also realize that there were a lot of people, the Lord's children, who were homebound and unable to attend many of their local churches due in part to their specific disabilities.

This then was the real beginning of our online ministry and the realization that there were people literally all over the world that were hungry for sound, biblical teaching and hungry for the fellowship of other saints who didn't discriminate because of various disabilities. My own disability had progressed to the point where I myself became fairly homebound and in was then that the Holy Spirit showed me the vision for Oasis Bible Ministry and what He would have us to do by His leading!

Even though I have just returned from about a two year hiatus, we have never looked back and the Lord has been so gracious and merciful to teach us the ins and outs of online ministry as well as some of the pitfalls to be aware of! We have never looked back since and even though there have been some rough learning times, the Holy Spirit has been there to bless and lead and accomplish what it is that HE has wanted from this ministry!

Because OF that love and graciousness, I have been very humbled AND honored to realize for myself and others that just because we may have a physical limitation, with the Lord "ALL things truly ARE possible" and the Lord truly abides by His word that says, "the gifts and callings of God are without repentance!"

With that in mind, my prayer for all that come and browse through these pages is that they would be extremely blessed and edified in the Lord; and if anything you read inspires you to move forward in your calling of service to the Lord, then we are ALL blessed richly and abundantly! In HIS service and that of my fellow brothers and sisters, God bless you all greatly!

Pastor Roland Ledoux

 ABOUT OASIS BIBLE MINISTRY

Pastor Roland J. Ledoux was born and raised in Yakima, Washington, I was spiritually reborn at the age of 16. In 1984 I moved my family to Tucson, Arizona where I became actively and professionally involved in ministry. Since that time, I have been involved in almost every aspect of ministry. As a minister I founded Oasis Bible Ministry, a ministry dedicated to local outreach and teaching. I have written several informative booklets and have published Walking In Christ, a book about a Christian's journey with the Lord.

I established Oasis Bible Ministry website several years ago more or less as an experiment with online ministry. At that time, I knew very little about computers let alone the internet. At first I considered it like a side-line to ministry or even a "hobby" ministry. Within just a few weeks though the Holy Spirit (as He is want to do) showed me the vast depth and possibilities that are available online. Not only that, but something else happened right about that time that soon became life changing!

First, I started having troubles with a knee that had been fractured a few years before. I was finding it more and more difficult to do the secular job that paid our bills. Other things were soon taking precedent over any attempt at online ministry at that time. What with my ministry responsibilities at our local church where I was associate Pastor and with the responsibilities that I also had a our church's Christian School, my soon developing disability was taking a toll on me physically, but just like the Loving Redeemer we serve, HE had other plans and directions for my wife and I!

A few years before I had been involved in an accident in our compact vehicle and shattered my left knee. Our car was totaled and our insurance had just been recently changed from full coverage to liability with a medical clause of a thousand dollar limit. Paramedics had to extricate me from our car and they transported me to the emergency room of our local hospital. The physician there did what he could to splint the knee and cap which was shattered in pieces. This was on a weekend and the first of the week, I ended up going to our clinic since at that time I didn't have a local family physician. The clinic physcian took care of the knee cap the best he could, and sent me to a specialist. Needless to say the specialist wouldn't see me without a family medical insurance plan.

Well my doctor splinted the knee the best he could and I know that the Lord really touched me with His healing power even though the knee cap remained in several pieces. Part of the job I did for the Christian school demanded I drive one of the school buses which also required the ability to pass a specific physical exam.

This history of Oasis Bible Ministry Online ministry will continue in the panel to the left--------.

 OUR MOTIVATION FOR MINISTRY

Oasis Bible Ministry is an outreach ministry with the goal of teaching the love of Jesus to a thirsty people.

Our belief is based on 1 John 4:7,

"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God."

Our motivation is derived from 1 Timothy 1:5,

"But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith."

Our desire is to teach, publish and/or distribute the printed and/or recorded teachings of individuals for the purpose found in 2 Timothy 3:16-17,

"All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work."

Our further desire is that these works speak to the new man as described in 2 Corinthians 5:17,

"Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; old things passed away; behold, new things have come."

It is furthermore our desire that these works attempt to accomplish Ephesians 4:12-16,

"For the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fulness of Christ. As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves, and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him, who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by that which every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body, for the building up of itself in love."

All scripture quotations above were from the New American Standard Bible (NASB).

 WHAT WE BELIEVE

1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, and only infallible, and authoritative Word of God, and is inerrant in the original writings--2 Timothy 3:16-17.

2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit--1 John 5:7.

3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His soon personal return in power and glory--Luke 1:27-31, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.

4. We believe that all men are sinful and therefore lost and must be born again; and that man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and that salvation is solely through God's grace and unmerited favor--Romans 3:23, Romans 8:1, Ephesians 2:8.

5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life, endued with power for service--Acts 1:8, Acts 10:44-45.

6. We believe that the Holy Spirit bestows gifts upon the believer and that the believer will show spiritual fruit as evidence of a Spirit-filled life--1 Corinthians 12:1-11.

7. We believe that every Christian is called into his own ministry by Christ, and that he is equipped in that ministry with the necessary skills to accomplish it, with imparted gifts from the Holy Spirit--1 Corinthians 12:7-14, Romans 12:7-8, Ephesians 4:7-16.

8. We believe that the giving of your time, talents and finances should be an act of worship to God, not dictated by Old Testament law, but led by New Covenant love and grace--Luke 6:38, 2 Corinthians 8:1-9:15, Galatians 5:18.

9. We believe in the resurrection of both saved and unsaved; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are unsaved unto the resurrection of damnation--John 5:29.

10. We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers and that unity is only accomplished through God-given agape love--1 Corinthians 12:20, 1 John 4:7-5:3.

11. We are not a denominational organization, nor are we opposed to denominations as such, only opposed to the over emphasis placed on doctrinal differences that have led to a division of the Body of Christ. We believe that the only true basis of Christian fellowship is God's abiding, agape love dwelling in the hearts of believers, which is far greater that any differences that we possess--Matthew 22:37-40, Phillipians 2:2, Colossians 3:14-15.
